By contrast, Italy has on average 17,000 deaths annually due to influenza with some years as high at 25,000 deaths! Italy currently sitting at less than 8k deaths for this season due to corona.

Let those extremely low odds of exposure sink in irrespective of how contagious covid19 or asymptomatic people. Is it possible to contract in NYS? yes. 0.2% -0.4% chance.
