Pneumonia Deaths - Is there any current data?

Not CoV deaths. Influenza/pneumonia mortality. Anyone know of a site or source to access current YTD info? I haven’t found anything yet. Plenty of historical data, through 2018 and possibly 2019, but nothing current.

I find it interesting that we continue to see daily reports of each CoV (ie pneumonia) death, yet I see no current day-by-day updates on overall pneumonia deaths. Those statistics are tracked annually by the CDC, so might give us a much better frame of reference and perspective if they released those numbers alongside the CoV deaths. I know that they have to compile this info each year (which is why it takes time for each data release), but if they’re able to get CoV mortality rates so quickly, one would think they could just as easily accumulate Pneumonia mortality too (and probably are).

I believe that there were almost 50,000 pneumonia deaths in the US in 2018, and I’m pretty sure that one can find daily (or monthly) mortality rates for those years if you dig enough. Given that CoV mortality is primarily the result of pneumonia, I would expect pneumonia deaths this year to spike significantly. In fact, that should be the case now.

So, what’s the answer. Anyone know where one might find the current data? If not available, why not? If available - even if in raw form at the cdc somewhere, why wouldn’t someone decide to post it?
