Whistleblower here: Nursing homes are being MANDATED to accept and take care of pple with positive Whuflu cases

I'm a nurse at a long term care facility in upstate NY. One of our wings has a very low census so the state is mandating that we accept these random people with + Covid cases. I think we will get a maximum of two sick people at any one time. Regular staff will be taking care of them. I don't know about PPE but I know for certain we have N95 masks in limited supply.

What is really crazy is that places like this are the ABSOLUTE LAST PLACE you want Whuflu to be in. Many residents using some sort of supplemented oxygen, or if they don't have o2 they certainly don't have the air volume capacity like they used to. Not to mention the plethora of other things that are sadly routine for this population.

Two words: CROSS CONTAMINATION.
