About 8 or 9 years ago Duke university was cloning organs like the heart and liver. They expected to be viable in about 10 yrs. Well no more news... They had cloned and transplanted these organs in mice and were successful without needing rejection meds. They could grow a human heart from a persons own heart in about 3 months back then. Kidneys were the most complex but they said they would get it right eventually. Seemed like the future was bright. But as always seems to be the case it's crickets... |

Of course that had to come to an end. |
