We got to grow up in the best of times. My childhood is straight out of Walt fucking Disney

We did! Though my Childhood wasn't like Walt Disney...it was certainly a far better time than it is for kids today.

I remember when Jerry Springer came out

I should have known that was a prelude for things to come

so true. Life was much easier back then. No electronics. Maybe a friend has video pong.
But go out and play.
Make up games.
Build something.
Brakes were always an afterthought. Bikes with conduit extensions to make a chopper. Which always at some point broke.
Look for a pile of bikes to find out where everyone was.
Parents new all other parents phone numbers.

Cowboys and Indians were a real game. Baseball cards trading and playing leaners and covers to get a better collection for yourself.
Marbles and gogies. Pure colors vs mixture. Penny candy isles. Bubble gum in a deck of sport cards for $0.15.
Trophy cards and rookie cards.

Just hanging out and getting into innocent mischief. No harm done and everyone having fun. A fight was settled with maybe a few punches thrown but everyone got over it eventually. A few weeks later everyone was back to normal.

Those were the day. Archie Bunker. He Haw, and stoogers were all great shows along with little rascals.

Bring me back to those days. The kids today would be at a loss and amazed at the same time.

The 80's were so freakin fun the kids now don't even know. Me and my friends would take off in a car at 8pm with no plans and gas money and it would turn into the funnest night ever.

The heavy metal chicks of the 80s were hot. Hell of a decade to have been in your late teens and twenties. It was glorious.

Back when your dad worked his ass off to provide and your mom stayed home to take care of the kids.Back when you would play video games inside and your mom would say get out of the house so she could have some peace and quiet.The good ol' days.
