Chlorine being increased (or added) to water supplies
It appears they are messing with our water, adding or increasing chlorine levels due to covid 19
As well as drinking water we absorb this into our skin whilst in the shower/bath

From one of the articles:

‘The Emaya municipal services agency in Palma has increased the quantity of chlorine in tap water in accordance with coronavirus recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO).

This will mean there being 0.5 parts per million (ppm) of chlorine and a pH (power of hydrogen) of 8. Emaya explains that this entails an addition of between 0.1 and 0.2 ppm of chlorine; this is within regulated levels. The pH of the water that is required will be complied with and so this has needed an increase from the current 0.3 to 0.4 ppm of chlorine. This is based on WHO guidelines.

Despite there being no risk of contagion from tap water, the agency is following expert advice.’

Re: Chlorine being increased (or added) to water supplies
I always hated that, it was real bad when we lived in town on city water. Had to use a berkey because there was no way my family was drinking that. Showering was pretty bad

No longer an issue now that we're on a well/septic system

When we had city water the bathroom would get so much mold, it amazes me how we have no mold now. I have heard all the chemicals in city water actually encourages mold growth

My concerns are the harmful chemicals like pharma products within the tap water plus the heavy metals and bad mineral forms of calcium, fluoride etc that is added to it. But thats just me.

if you plan on drinking the tap water try filling a container and leaving it sit for a couple of hours at least , chlorine disperses quickly from water when left sitting especially when left in the sun.

Re: Chlorine being increased (or added) to water supplies
Our water company sent out an email telling us they are adding more to our water supply. They always had it but are adding significantly more. It reeks. I never drink the water here cuz there is added flouride to it. Probably why people are so docile here. My hair is drying out from the chlorine and am looking to find a filter to add to my shower.

So the fluoride used in the US comes from China correct? If true I wonder if we have finally stopped adding it because the supply has run dry?

In the USA 0.5 ppm is the minimum and 4 ppm the maximum Chlorine level. Most water utilities have normal levels between 1 and 2 ppm. So adding 0.1 to 0.2 ppm is not significant.

Chlorine sucks balls.

People need to insist their water treatment plant use ozone as the disinfectant.

Ozone is a stronger and better disinfectant. It is generated on-site from atmospheric oxygen. And it is tasteless, so doesn't have that chlorine chemical taste.
