How is your sleep? Your are your dreams? Feel tired or not in your body? Yes, anxious. Can't sleep unless I pile a foot high of thick blankets upon myself. Seldom remember dreams, if I am dreaming. Feel tired, but I never sleep as much as most, 5 hours every day is more than enough. Most, I'm all of those things mostly because I'm curious about this BS. I also noticed it effects your internals too. I hear my stomach gurgling a lot when it become intense. Don't know if that's directly related or byproduct of another effect. Anyhow, I did some quick research on ultrasound weapons already. I see I can buy the that stuff too, anyone apparently can. So .. who is screwing with the neighborhood(s). Their actions seen juvenile, but I think adults, hack types, are doing this to harass or make everyone sick. This noise will make you vomit if you're exposed long enough. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 78230994 Finland 04/07/2020 02:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to www.newworldwar.org] Ultrasonic weapons produce a variety of effects depending on the power level and frequency. Many are the same as those produced by infrasound, plus heating and burning. They include: tickling in the mouth/nose area, discomfort, heating of the skin, nausea, abdominal pains, and vomiting. At higher decibels it causes burns and heating of body up to lethal temperatures. Another very painful effect is bone resonation, which could cause a person’s bones to literally explode. |

PoliceYourOwn User ID: 71756403 United States 04/07/2020 02:58 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | "The range for detecting a sound wave frequency varies amongst individuals, but is typically 20-20,000 Hz." So to be clear what you are referring to is a VERY high pitch squeal. Just as these sounds are easily created via mechanical means ie. reed instruments, vacuum leaks or even blowing on a stretched blade of grass... many errant ultrasound pollution issues can be traced to hydro-dynamic flow issues in various types of piping and plumbing, ducting leaks in low pressure areas of large HVAC systems and even metal on metal contacts such as draw bridge hinges and other large scale high force incidents. I have chased some of these down in industrial setting and it can be very tricky. All that said, is ultrasound a "weaponized" thing? You bet your ass. In fact the entire "sound" spectrum has been THOROUGHLY weaponized for a very long time. Hell, that whole zone in the middle has been weaponized since human speech began. PoliceYourOwn |

I do mixing and mastering fairly regularly so consider me jealous... I usually just chop everything off after 17 khz anyways (depending on genre) to save headroom but still... Children with perfect ears can hear above 20 khz but damn, for an adult that is insane. That said, try multiple microphones/preamps etc... if there is a fundamental peak happening rather than noise floor then try relocating the microphone, see if it's only where you are or if it's everywhere. In my area there is this pesky 14khz spike but I have no clue what it could be... I mean I have theories but they're out there. |

I've always had good hearing, and I'm into my 60s now. I like the TV volume between 8-12. Others need it at 40 to hear everything. Crazy, is everyone else deaf? As a child my parents had to move their TV to the far side of the house Becca's when it was near my bedroom, I would hear this high pitched white noise and couldn't sleep. Sometimes it made me dizzy. I initially thought I was being targeted, but then I've heard the same in a few other neighborhoods around here when driving through them too. And it is all over in my yard, so I assume elsewhere in the neighborhood too. This is just a mystery that has me stumped. I'm curious though if anyone else can detect this going on in their neighborhoods too, either with their ears or with a good ultrasound detector or even an app on an adequate phone. All morning and afternoon now I'm still detecting 21-22khz noise fluctuating a little at 30 dB. That's not background noise, not much background noise that high. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 74407275 United States 04/07/2020 03:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | BTW, what I hear matches what I'm electronically detecting too, from frequency change to intensity. I can now even guess approximate dB level, but frequency not so much, it only deviates 1 or 2 khz, and it all sounds like white noise until it approached 40 dB and then I can hear more tonal quality to it. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 74407275 United States 04/07/2020 03:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Also, I can record this and down convert to lower frequency so others can hear it at lower tones, and they'll hear intensity change too. When I spread the sample out during the down convert, I can hear harmonics, as if multiple devices are screaming at slightly different frequencies. |

You need to investigate the mysterious house. Quoting: Hawktopus Obviously we need video of the investigations. It is a business. When I called the police about suspicious hacking and harassing going on in the neighborhood, seemingly originating from that building, I was threatened by a guy in plane cloths that said he was a cop and to never call 911 about this ever again OR ELSE I WOULD BE LOCKED UP AS BEING A CRAZY DERANGED CONSPIRACY NUTCASE SPREADING RUMORS. He did give me a card with another number to call if I really needed to call and report it again. I've not called again since then. I confront one suspect in that building one from my balcony and he threatened me too and says he was a cop and if I reported any of this to 911 I would regret it. I have that on video, surveillance camera. Nobody showed me any ID. I called police once to get a transcript of my original call report and they couldn't find it. A further search found the call because I wrote down exact date and time I called but my address was changed, it was wrong, not a valid address where cop said he visited complaint. And may name was changed to anonymous. f'n weird shit going on around here. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 74407275 United States 04/07/2020 06:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My entire property is still being fogged with this 21-22+kHz ultrasound noise fluctuating between 32-34dB. It appears to be coming from everywhere. I assume it's throughout the neighborhood. I have nothing directional to locate the source with but I might have to order something (various choices to research first). It's been going on all day. Last night it was cycling from 30dB up to 65dB every 30 minutes in what seemed like 5dB or 10dB increments. This is most annoying because I can hear it, and so can my cat. And, just WTF is going on? This noise reminds me of walking into a Best Buy television department back when CRT sets were popular ... and so was flyback transformer noises. My head would get dizzy if I stayed there too long. |

I'm guess I'm located quite a distance away from you, on another continent, but I feel compelled to briefly contribute to this thread. I usually have a very good quality of sleep (probably due to smoking fat joints before going to bed - nobody's perfect), but yesterday evening as I was laying down, around half past midnight I definitely noticed a weird ultrasound ringing which was annoyingly loud, and went on for at least twenty minutes, with volume variation. I have occasional ear ringing from having been to loud music concerts, and I was able to notice the difference. Those noises are actually more "painful" than this "classic" tinnitus. Even better, you know what ? It's now around 1 am for me and the phenomenon is back. Seems slightly less intrusive, less loud, but it's here... Well I don't know what to make of it, I live in a small village, in the countryside. TBH I'm still more inclined to reject this as paranoia on my behalf, assisted by the weird coincidence (synchronicity ?) of your thread. But anyway thank you very much for the thrill !!! |
