Also, don’t take this call to Islam lightly; according to PBS’s special “America at the Crossroads” on our confrontation with radical Islam, apparently Osama bin Laden was roundly criticized by some Imam’s for not giving the U.S. ample warning of the 9/11 attacks — which includes offering them the opportunity to convert. This is why in some of his other dispatches, he has offered to be Bush’s spiritual guide in converting to Islam.

From what my basic understanding is of this radical form of the religion, if you offer conversion and it is rejected, then mass killing is justified.

Well I read it, and although I don't believe in this boogeyman, it's well written and contains much truth.

I can't say I disagree with him.

Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. ...Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders.
