Its becoming harder and harder for Cuomo to convince people that this was worth destroying NY states economy over. He's also Bankrupting the state at the same time via UI

Someone predicted a while back that by the second and third weeks of April it would start to become very obvious that the numbers werent adding up to what they SAID they would..

Of course Cuomo can always say "hey low numbers are a direct result of all the social distancing we did."

Cuomo reported only 200 new hospitalizations in the past day for New York.vThat's the smallest increase since March 18.

That is what this thread is about.

He keeps saying that if you are on the ventilator for 30 days,chances are you won't come off. There are tons of people in nursing homes that are on ventilators. My guess is they are disconnecting folks after 30 days, which is criminal. Lots of people take longer to wean than 30 days. I wish someone would ask him if they are disconnecting those from ventilators after 30 days? Kind of makes sense when you realize they said this was going to be a really bad week. How would they know that unless they were disconnecting folks? Evil.

They started sending people home with oxygen canisters and Meters, instead of hospitalization. In the short run if frees up hospital beds. But it increases deaths.

Hospitalization numbers plunge as those that would normally haul their arses into ER at the drop of a hat stay away for fear of catching covid19. Unfortunately people that SHOULD take themselves to hospital with chest pains etc and other ailments are also staying away also in fear of catching it. The death number will steadily rise both for covid19 patients and home cardiac arrests.

They'd better fudge those numbers, quick!

Since the models for the "first Wave" were so ridiculously wrong -- even after factoring in all the "social distancing" etc. -- the so-called "second and third waves" will probably be minimal-to-nothing.

I know progressives will be gnashing their teeth in frustration to this, but the time for getting back to normal will be much sooner than later.

When I think of "extreme abuse of personal freedom" I think of the loudmouth drunks sitting in sidewalk cafes that blew smoke in the faces of passing pedestrians on the packed sidewalks BEFORE THE PAUSE.
