And what do you think of this ICU doctor in NYC, Cameron Kyle-Sidell, and his comments about what this virus is really doing (that it is not like a real pneumonia/ARDS, but more like an oxygenation problem, almost like extreme altitude sickness)?

And I have another comment...if it is an oxygenation issue, why could you not put them on heart/lung bypass type machine, instead of a ventilator, and oxygenate them that way? Instead of forcing 100% oxygen into lungs that will not accept the oxygen, why not bypass the lungs all together, until you can get the lungs cleared up?

No because we arent using anesthesia machines with waste management systems, just simple ventilators. The patients are in negative pressure rooms and the waste goes whereever that goes to.

Too small of a sample size to say if my small unit is atypical.
I am running 1 of 4 COVID units currently set up in our hospital, so it may skew towards men when looking at the other units as well.

The Infectious Disease team is on consult for every covid Positive patient. We have been doing HYdroxychloroquine for every one. With subpar results.
