Can I get a Chrysler Tech to help me?
Have a 2010 300 Touring with 110K

Allegedly the 5th Cylinder has low compression (I believe this is where the Fuel Injection occurs)
Of course the Engine light won’t stop coming on
The car was a HS Graduation Gift to my son from my Parents
They bought it at an estate sale for 5K.. the car is actually super clean.
Now the car is a big problem... and the “Gift” has become a sore subject.

What the hell should I do to solve this problem???

Thanks in Advance for any helpful replies!

Low compression is just that. Gotta go inside. Find a good wrench.

There is a small possibility that you might just have a valve that isn't fully closing like it should be and that's causing your low compression in one cylinder. You might want to try giving your engine a Seafoam treatment. Do the intake version of the treatment to clean off anything on the top of the valves, and do the oil treatment to try and remove anything bad from the piston rings, head, and crankcase. It's only about $8 a bottle and two bottles should do everything if I remember correctly. The fuel system treatment can be ignored, because that wouldn't do anything to fix your specific problem. I've used that stuff to free up a stuck valve, stop lifter ticking on an older engine, increase compression, clean up engines that have had too few oil changes, etc. Sometimes the solution appears like a painful fix but it turns out to be easy and quite cheap.

If you want to at least narrow the problem down a little bit, pull the spark plug in the bad cylinder and pour a tsp or so of engine oil into the plug hole. Then do your compression test again. If the result is higher, your issue is piston ring related, because the oil you poured into the cylinder will give the piston rings a temporary boost in sealing capability. If the pressure result is the same, your issue is head related.

The 300's are beautiful cars but the engines are their Achilles heel.

Can't get parts.

Won't find a donor engine because they are snapped up immediately.

There's no good answer.

If it was me? Full coverage insurance and a deer. Maybe 2.

Probably a bad valve. Usually the whole cylinder head is replace for this repair. A pro can do it in a few hours. Book time is about 10hrs I believe.

^ This dude is full of shit, 2010 i 10 years old . Parts are a dime a dozen. Legit dont have enough words in the post to give any kind of answer. A check engine light being on can be due to 100 different things. A car being "clean" has no bearing on the fact of an internal engine issue.

My 09 Challenger with a 3.5 v6 had the lower end go out right before I was going to supercharge it. Kinda crappy. It is not very common. Again how did you get this random low compression on cyl 5. If so get an engine. not worth trying to sleeve. 80 bucks for a legit engine diag at most places to give a definitive answer.
