Fauci also said that parts of the country could begin to see an easing of the restrictions as early as next month, in what he said would be “a roving re-entry.”

“It is not going to be a light switch that we say, ‘Okay, now it’s June, July or whatever, click, the light switch goes back on,’ ” he said. “It’s going to be depending on where you are in the country, the nature of the outbreak that you already experienced and the threat of an outbreak you have not experienced.”

“So, it’s going to be having a look at the situation in different parts of the country,” Fauci said. “I think it’s going to have to be something that is not one size fits all.”
