The video is well-narrated and accompanied by an artist for graphic interest. It's under 15 minutes long.

I am interested in hearing your counter-arguments, for apologetic purposes.

Here's my counter question to the OP...why can't you believers just let the rest of us be? Why must you constantly shill for your religious beliefs? Yes, life is a wonderful thing, and I'm thankful to be a part of it but I don't spend time wondering how it all began.

CS Lewis believed in the lie of purgatory just like his false gospel believing catholic friend JRR Tolkien.

Very slick wordsmith but if you get the gospel of Jesus Christ wrong you get God wrong.

I don't apologize for the gospel and I'm not ashamed of it, it is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe.

If you're going to listen/read tfrom men about God please look into the Leonard ravenhill's and C H Spurgeons among many others that gave their lives to Christ. Blessings.

It will cost you everything, count the cost!!

He wants us to agree that just because there are some words and events in a holy book and just because a religion Christianity was built up around it (by force of the Roman Empire, not by natural free will) therefore those words and events are truth. He’s just shilling a religion and I don’t think he really believes Jesus is God. But it sells books.

Boils down to the same simplistic nonsense, "everything that is good happens because some god did it for you, everything that is bad happened because of your free will." It is really just a version of self loathing.

You see it when people say, "god saved me from the tornado that destroyed my house but fail to ask, why did god destroy my house with a tornado." Idiotic.

Believe in this religion. You have the free will to not believe in it, but the consequences are eternal damnation. Aren’t you glad you have free will? So generous of our false god to do that for all you heathens.

Are you not now oversimplifying Christian faith?

Christians do not loathe themselves. They are, however, hyper-aware of God's commandments, and do their best to follow God's Word.

Does any Christian profess to be perfect in this? If they do, they are not at all Christian.

And, if Christians cannot obey the Lord throughout their lives, what remains as the remedy to the penchant for sin?

Simply put, God's grace and mercy, when we meet Him with repentence.

I didn’t watch the video- too long.

The “bad” God of the Bible/Yahweh is Enlil. The “good” God is Enki/Shiva, who the Christians like Lewis think is Satan. The “one God” is actually the I AM Presence of your own self. There is no Christian God in the sense of a Being who has a beard and teaches us all right from wrong, how to live, etc.

I very much appreciate your response.

And the person who responded to you gave you a partial answer, because Christians are not simply told to spread the gospel.

Instead, it is a spiritual compulsion, born out of love for our fellow humans. I don't know you personally at all, but I certainly care about you as a human.

And I care all the more about you as an eternal spirit, and particularly where the eternal you will reside; either cut off from your source (by your own choice, because God is not a stalker), or joined with your source. (Biblically, Jesus uses marriage symbology quite a lot.)

I might suggest that, rather than becoming offended by a Christian reaching out to you, try to remember that they are doing everything they can to save you.

As an aside, if God does not exist, there is no basis for morality. In fact, by Darwinian standards, anyone who reproduces the most and garners the most assets while alive is, by scientific definition, a biological success story. This allows for any actions to obtain these results, including rape and murder.

As such, Christians, who put the spiritual well before the biological, do not want to live in such a savage world.

Why do you?

Congratulations on keeping alive the false teachings of the nephilim, whom God smote in the flood.

Then you should also know about the black cube of sin and death, in which you now reside.

As Jesus stated, He is the only way out.

He is the narrow path and the gate.

Problem with your statement is that MOST religious people are NOT christians. And whether you admit it or not, according to christian beliefs, those people are cursed to hell unless they finally convert. That is "simplistic" tyranny considering that 95% of the humans who have ever lived either have never heard of christanity or dispute it.

Ah...the "missionary argument".

You are correct that many religious people are not Christians. And God addresses this in the Bible, in several ways. To simplify;

1) He states that He wrote the 10 Commandments into the conscience of every human ever born. So, even if you never had the opportunity to read the Bible, or hear a word of it, come judgment day, your actions will be measured against that inner voice (the Holy Spirit) which advised you throughout your life.

2) If you choose to "live by law" of your culture, you will be judged by those laws. The laws in question here are those moral laws in every society which, to no believer's surprise, are almost always based upon the laws God wrote upon every heart.

3) Those who do know the Word and choose to ignore it are very much in trouble. These are the people destined for hell.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77837750

First of all thank you for taking the time to reply.

I'm a simplistic person. Like many folk I've had people knock at my door or approach me when I'm out in my garden wanting to discuss their particular religion. Going by your explanation that would be because they care about my soul. But do they really?

If they cared so much why then do they never come back after I tell them that I'm not really interested? Surely if they cared for me so much they'd have another try or maybe send someone else who may be better at convincing me that they're right and I'm wrong.

I see all door knocker religious folk as belonging to a cult and I want no part of that. As for people who say they aren't religious but believe in Jesus then that's fine but until I personally have some sort of catalyst that drives me to believe in the same then there's no converting me. You can't personally manufacture faith in something just because someone else says its real and a thing without experiencing that thing first.

As for morality you don't need spiritual guidance to be a moral person. Every sane person instinctually knows right from wrong. Those (christians and others) that choose to rape or murder do that consciously knowing its a bad thing to do. I don't think even the spiritual types who commit such acts have a conversation with their god to discuss whether or not committing a bad act is the best thing they can do on any given day, they just do it.

Some humans are flawed, regardless of their religious beliefs and I want no part of the 'savage world' you mentioned. I cannot stand bad people.

You see it when people say, "god saved me from the tornado that destroyed my house but fail to ask, why did god destroy my house with a tornado." Idiotic.

ALL religions and cults are simply power and money making businesses. Undeniable.

You are correct that many religious people are not Christians. And God addresses this in the Bible, in several ways. To simplify;

"Live by the law of your culture." LOL. MANY cultures still today have a longstanding culture child brides, slaves, multiple wives, etc, etc, etc, etc. Things that are IMMEDIATE damnation to "hell" in the current christian "religions/cults."

You are deluding yourself into these made up claims.
