IMHO, the Internet itself has done more to 'unify' Planet Earth, than anything since then, and it was originally a Cold War secret some nations don't buy into any of this, esp CHina & India, because it's TOO DISRUPTIVE to their massive populations, either on political terms (we have to maintain control of so many people, otherwise it's chaos), or on religious grounds
