I have been getting the same message this entire time"Payment status not available" but tried it with xxx-xx-xxxx with dashes and it worked and let me set up direct deposit.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75144754 That would be funny if this entire time we only needed to use dashes in the SSN for it to work. . It worked for me finally today without dashes which is how I was entering it all along but now it works both ways? Good idea IRS.
