I haven’t missed a day. I have to say it has been nice not to fight traffic or look for a parking space where I work.

I’m with you my friend. And I got a 9 month pregnant wife and a 2 yo. And never wore a mask up till last week, only because I had to. I shook hands with people and have lived without fear through this whole thing.

That's weird, because even with the stay at home order there are still tremendous amounts of shitty drivers just going around like they have no place to go and no appointed time to get there. WHEN I can get away from them, I haul ass. Very haul ass. Drove by two police cars today, and no reaction. I shall continue to haul ass, and curse the slow asses when I'm trying to get to my fucking job.

Whoo hoo!. I work with a guy who thinks he is LITERALLY RISKING HIS LIFE COMING TO WORK.
I don't care. I've said I don't care. I've offered up the possibility that maybe I should, but I don't. I wore a mask to shop for the first time yesterday, but only because either the store required it or out of consideration for the terrified cashiers.
I bought a quart of oil at a parts store. They had the card scanners on a table four feet out from the cashier. I reached the quart across so the guy could grab it and scan it. He returned it by putting it on a cart with wheels and pushing the cart out to me.

Same here, even had a coworker test positive according to test, that had been around us for 2 days and none of us showed any signs or became ill. I have to take two weeks off paid week after next per orders, I'm like ok thanks for the paid time off. I can get a lot of shit done on my house. This is Just a lot of fear mongering bullshit going on by the media and people trying to capitalize on it.

Im retired but live in farm country on the Snake River. Noones unemployed here, noones afraid to be in public, noones wearing a mask. Farms are short handed though because noone wants to hire the migrant workers now which is a little strange but hey, during World War Flu a little xenophobia might not be a bad thing.
Also noones giving away produce here because mostly Sugar Beets, Onions and Corn for biofuel are grown here.

Wow what state has made gardening illegal?
Here in Georgia we are allowed to garden.
And many, many people are out getting their yards in shape.
They would go crazy if they could not get out and putter around in nature.

I am a landscape architect, designing and installing gardens, and I also maintain several client’s properties. In this state thankfully landscaping and maintenance are considered essential services so I have worked through as well.
We keep social distancing rules and wear masks for our client’s comfort but we hardly interact on site as we have each got our own things to do.
It is a blessing to be outside now and the weather here has been exceptional this past week.

One of the nicest things that has come from this for me is I have had many old clients texting or emailing me pictures of their gardens and they tell me how important they have become to them. They say things like” it is my sanctuary in this crazy time” or” being in my garden keeps me sane”.

I do really believe that connecting with nature is more important than ever.
Today I was very tired from having gone grocery shopping. Whenever I do go out in the public spaces, I find it exhausts me. I am sort of empathic so
I think I am picking up people’s fear and anxiousness and that wears me down.
So I came home and went and lay down on the lawn and after about 15 minutes I felt so much better.

I speak to my granddaughter on her way to work as an ICU nurse a few times a week. She had 15 COVID patients on respirators last evening. The highlight of her day was being able to extubate a 38 year old woman and it was successful. She works a three day week of 12 hour shifts, normally and this past week she worked 5, 12 hour shifts. She feels guilty when she takes a day off. There is no hoax here. Those that say that probably live alone and have no one to care about.

There are some small silver linings to SARS-CoV-2.

In the past, I'd get stuck on a crowded street or freeway - when no accident or other mishap had occurred - and wonder why the hell so many people were going from Point A to Point B, just as I admittedly was also driving from Point A to Point B.

But the short attention spans and need for instant gratification of many people in today's America (at least pre-Covid-19) have made various types of crowding and congestion much worse.
