Has anyone else seen the new series, 'The Chosen', on the life of Jesus - It is awesome

Yes, I have seen it, several times and I completely agree with you. Best series I have ever seen depicting the life of Christ and those around him. Truly stunning, heart felt and amazing! Definitely needs to be seen by all Christians and really anyone seeking the truth. It paints a beautiful picture of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Heard the makers of the series are going to try and do at least 8 seasons leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection. Can't wait for next season!

The life of Jesus presented by the same people who gave you WW2 and the moon landings and 9/11. Building 7 was a bitch for them but it turns out that most are sheepy sheep.

The production quality, acting, and storytelling are all top-notch. Other series if have seen like this always came off as "made for TV" low-quality shows. That they could do this with a crowdfunded series is amazing. Can't wait for Season 2. Have you heard when it is coming out?

Man, you have to see this. Last weekend my oldest brother sent a text out to the family saying we should see it. I had not even heard of it. But I could not stop watching it once I got started. The emotional impact of the way they tell the story is powerful.

It would be great if half the number of people that watched "The Tiger King", watched "The Chosen." Seems like everyone in the US has watched that trainwreck.

OP, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you sharing this. I heard this was coming but didn’t know it was out. To be honest, I literally had tears in my eyes just from watching the trailer. Now on to watching the entire season.

First time I heard of it - seems like a nice productive thing to watch during this time.

You know, it had occurred to me the other day that I ought to suggest to people that are going stir-crazy and are super bored at home that they could pass the time by actually reading that bible, you know? Most folk rely on someone else to tell them what's in it.

Does this series make the racial distinction between the Israelite/Jacobite Judeans and the Edomite Judeans?

Or does it do the usual, and portray Jesus as a "Gew"?

This was such a great, well made depiction of the gospels.

I had never heard about it till this thread. Thanks! So the only way to watch it is to buy the 50 DVDs at $750. Plus I gave up my DVD player over a year ago.
Some of us don't have that kind of funds.
Though it looks like it definitely is worth watching and or should be watched if you are a Christian in today's World.
