I agree, grass isn't fit for human consumption, but God made at least one man humbled by making him eat grass for 7 years, just like the beasts of the field.

The cool rainy months bring forth lots of young tender grasses. In the southwest of the U.S. the hillsides and valleys turn green with young grass sprouts during the winter and spring rains, even in some areas of the deserts. As far as I know, yes... I've read that all grasses are safe to eat. I think that means that it won't kill you. Bamboo is grass. The shoots can be cooked and eaten. I've never eaten the leaves but perhaps they could be cooked and eaten too. Many grasses have leaves that are just too tough and fibrous to eat raw. I eat grass typically during the rainy months when young grasses with deep green leaves are soft and easy to chew. I basically chew the grass to extract the juices then spit out the fibers. I've never had any problem with this. I only eat grass growing in wilderness areas far from contamination from streets and herbicides and pesticides. You don't want to be eating harmful chemicals.

it should be well watered, taken raw rather than boiled
any fruit,veg,grass,leaves taken raw give the maximum, optimum nutrition. boiling/heating does a lot of damage

if you have a little oil, cook the grass in oil for a couple of minutes, add water, then add any spices you have, makes a good soup, can add dandelions and clover or rose petals too.

i would like to see an account of someone surviving on boiled grass.
times could get so bad that ....all you have is grass, water and heat.

Hmmm 25 chickens to eat the grass, with 2 roosters and a incubator approximately 250 baby chickens every 21 days, :), a much better way to go.

I know no chickens in the city, well if your still livng in a city after all the writing on the wall, well anyway time is running out for ya and the grass there is full of chemicals
