Are they still using DC 10's for refuel? I thought everyone went to the KC 35's The KC-135 is older. The new version is the RC-135. They have much larger and more powerful engines on them. The KC-10 is the military version of the L-1011 which has been converted into an air-to-air refueling tanker and, yes, they’re still flying them.
