WTF! Teens temporarily no longer required to take road test to get driver’s license in Georgia

didnt need a license for horse and carriage.just more socialist jobs to prop up mob.

They’ve already taken the knowledge test & vision, if their parents are remotely responsible they’ve had a year of experience with an adult beside them, the driving test is perfunctory at best.

What could go wrong?? I’m sure the insurance industry thinks this is a great idea

Teenagers are required to take and pass a driver's course in GA prior to taking the test to get a license.

Like all other 49 states. Difference is there is no actual TEST.

They had to take the knowledge portion to get their learners (whatever Ga calls it) originally, all other req still have to be met: number of hours driving supervised, incl nighttime, no infractions, etc. It’s just the behind the wheel test w a DMV grader- half the time those are done in parking lots.

Texas no longer requires road tests either, though I think you can request one. They do require an adult to ride with a teen for so many hours.

Personally, I appreciate the deregulation.

No adults will lie and sign the form.

When I took my road test it was during a blizzard. We did the parallel parking and the blizzard roared up. He told me to turn around and head back. I just did one thing and passed. This was 2006 in Maine and according to you I'm someone that would murder someone and wouldn't know road signs and I'm going to kamikaze someone or should have already.

Its 2020 and I've been driving for 14 years and the only accident I had this whole time (a single occurrence in 14 years of licensure, 15 of driving total,) was during the time right after hurricane Sandy hit NJ and the remains traveled up the shoreline, I hydroplaned into a van that was parked in a spot going down a hill and that only happened because a kid from that van ran into the road and I slammed on the brakes and skidded as much as I could, with the control I had, into the van on purpose.
