How Will We REMEMBER THESE TIMES- IN THE FUTURE? HOW WILL PEOPLE REFLECT &/OR WAX NOSTALGIC EVEN?

I thought I’d remember 9/11 but 20 years later there’s nothing. Same for 80s and 90s. There’s no comparison, of course, but life will go on: we’ll forget all about paper money, restaurant meals, shopping trips, travel, etc. But it’s sad how the holidays will be ruined. OTOH, think about how much complaining people have done about Christmas the last few decades. Was it inevitable?


There’s been 50 years of programming: every year of my life since literally the day I was born. I have never experienced a “grinch free” Christmas; he’s always there (or I guess it). Anyway, as always in America we’re told that’s “your choice” (to be disturbed by the grinch). Just as now we will be free to uhh socially distance during the holidays? Except for essential workers who are saving all of us? We can do our own Christmas our own way leading to all new ways of celebrating blah blah blah....

What’s happening today has been decades in the making!

There is no future

I believe people's behaviors will change permanently, if not now, then a few months from now when this disease comes back

they'll never wake up

they'll continue to blindly hate and vote in socialists until their graves

9/11 seems like yesterday to me, but there’s a whole generation of adults who were too young to comprehend it and now think it’s a funny joke. In twenty years the next generation will have forgotten this too. Hopefully things will get better instead of worse.

In 78 years no one will remember. I have oral history on tape of my grandfather. He remembered the depression clearly but made no mention of the pandemic.
