And when the prophecies of the scriptures are rightly divided, it is like a lamp shining in a dark place.

2 Peter 1:19

On of the few Greek scripture I like goes something like "the word of God is sharper than a two edged sword"

As far as the Hebrew scripture go, what are your thoughts on ecclesiastes 9:5?

Ecc 9:5

For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

This verse speaks in The NATURAL....about The SPIRITUAL as does The whole BIBLE.

Who is THE LIVING? These are those who have been 'seeded from above' AND 'birthed' in THE SPIRIT just like in the natural.

Who are THE DEAD? These are those who have NOT been 'seeded from above' .....not yet SPIRITUALLY seeded for LIFE.

The LIVING ONES ....those 'seeded from above' learn over their time of seeking that they MUST die. That they MUST lay down their existence as JESUS did.....as they loose their head/LOGIC.

The HEAD/logic knows nothing other that what its 5 soulish senses taught it.....ALL NATURAL...and as dung/nothing.

The things of the natural.....are all forgotten....as CORRUPTION and MORTALITY.

Those things of SPIRIT are as incorruption and immortality...TRUTH.

TRUTH sets you free!

Stay in the New Testament if you want to understand New Covenant theology. The Old Testament can sometimes support the New Testament scriptures, but starting in the Old Testament to develop a New Covenant doctrine will fail.

It doesn't mean any of that.

That is just opinion and NOT TRUTH. If you, REALLY, believe otherwise please provide proof.

The only way to understand the NT covenant, is to study to OT covenant.

It's incredibly important. The Bible isn't two books. It's one complete book.

It has a beginning, a middle and an end.

The bible often uses the word "dog," to describe unbelievers.

Like in Psalm where it talks about the "dogs not wagging their tongues."

But everyone who still has breath, still has hope...a living dog has more hope than a dead lion without question.

It is the Torah and the Prophets.

Jesus quoted it many times.

Go read about the temptation in the wilderness.

Three times Jesus answered with "It Is WRITTEN."

All of his answers were from the OT. The NT hadn't been written yet.

No, and if you look at the worst of the worst of error-laden movements you will find they spend most of their time in the Old Testament, using it as a distraction to confuse New Covenant theology.

Again, there is nothing wrong with looking for supporting scriptures in the Old Testament, but if that's where you camp you are most likely in very bad error fundamentally.

The NT was written because Jesus came and died for our sins, but he quoted the OT often, and so did Paul.

You ignore the first half, you miss half the story and half the truth.
