Question for the scientists/doctors out there.
Any advice on what we people that don't have thyroids (or malfunctioning ones) do if we run out of levothyroxine (supply chain issues).
I've searched & searched online to no avail for natural substitutes, i.e. pig hormones (still need a prescription) etc. and can't find anything I can stockpile. My doctor will will not let me get an extra prescription to set aside in case of emergency which I think is BS considering I'm stable with my daily dose (I'm not the local drug dealer, but maybe I should make friends with one huh?).
Biology isn't my strong point, are there any knowledgeable people online that could advise anon.?
In a hypothetical life/death situation (before falling into coma from lack of hormones) are there any natural (beside pig hormones) substitutes? Or any other animal thyroid glands that could be used to produce something that would at least keep you alive for awhile.
Any help appreciated, and thanks for all replies.
Quoting: InTheGLPHood Order Thyrovanz on line, fast shipping, great natural products and reputable company. Survival stockpile for your freezer or Mad Max bunker. Quoting: Vril Phantom Does the Thyrovanz contain thyroxine? I've found that several of the "glandular extracts" and "natural thyroid" products don't actually contain the active hormone. Most will say on the label that they are "thyroxine-free" when the product doesn't contain it, but not all of them reveal this.
