Anonymous Coward User ID: 77847424 ![]() 05/04/2020 11:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's hard to get flour here lately. A man who runs asmall country market has brought in some 20 pound bags of flour to sell, is it worth it to buy a big bag like that ? I don't bake that much but I'd like to have it if there's really going to be a zombie apocolypse. Tonight my local news anchor has grey roots showing in her hair for the first time ever ! The salons have been closed for over a month and I guess she doesn't know how to do it herself.Kind of sloppy of her, if I was a news anchor I'd figure out a way to cover my roots. |

I have been shopping online for a few years now and have posted a couple of times regarding certain items that are getting hard to find and certain items that are way overpriced. It has really been somewhat disturbing, especially the number of "out of stock" items. I sure hope you all have plenty of food stocked because from what I have seen, the choices of brands are getting freakishly slim. I have seen brands I have never heard of in my life. Quoting: Possum_Zero Here are a few observations, make sure to click on several pages to see the "out of stock": [link to www.walmart.com (secure)] [link to www.walmart.com (secure)] [link to www.walmart.com (secure)] [link to www.walmart.com (secure)] [link to www.walmart.com (secure)] [link to www.walmart.com (secure)] [link to www.walmart.com (secure)] [link to www.walmart.com (secure)] I honestly have never seen so many "out of stock" items in the years I have been shopping online. Amazon has gotten extremely bad with a lot of their food pricing. all those things are in stock inside walmart. if you're shopping online, yes you will pay more. |

And the week following the list will get longer and longer. Quoting: petractia Just posting here for those that take the info and do something productive. I'll post more next week if there is more to share. Back in January, with the supply chain was disrupted due to the lockdown of China, I knew big parts of the retail economy in the US and elsewhere would start wheezing later in the year. But I was thinking along the lines of non-essential crap sold at Walmart of Dollar Tree. I wasn't thinking as much of perishables or important foodstuffs like meat, etc. When I think of countries in the same boat we're in but that don't even have much of an agricultural industry - such as Japan or parts of Europe, I go oh-oh. |

Quoting: MissCleo It's on the list. I stocked up months ago. You can clean anything with dish soap. Even your hair. I stocked up, too. Don't put it in the dishwasher, though! If you use it in the dishwasher I think it is half a teaspoon. No no! It makes too many suds! You will be cleaning that up for days! Lol. First tell the truth, then give your opinion.... |

Yeah I did not foresee toilet paper, rice and pasta still be out of stock. I’m still okay for now, because I prepared. Whatever’s going to happen wont be much longer coming, because things are going to change one way or another. If you're going to leave me red, please be specific about why I am a cunt. Otherwise I'll assume you're just tarded. |

The farmers are useless robotic pawns following the governments wants instead of our needs. And fuck the government for taking control of our supply, thanks Obama. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72817229 You're right; but no one is talking about this nor is there any visible plan in place. Instead they'll take us to the very edge of breakdown and come in to save us all with their new system; whatever it may be. With my luck it'll just be more of the same. Are you a capitalist or a socalist/Communist? A capitalist would think MAN, we need to get the farmers produce, milk/meat what ever to market so people can buy that stuff you closet socialist keep begging for government solutions. The problem farmers have is no one is buying their products right now unless that farmer has built direct to consumer channels. My closest neighbor runs the biggest dairy herd in the county and he can't sell his milk. So all you bitching about the farmer not producing better get off your ass and find a farmer and buy direct. THATs CAPITALISM. Or, if you want the government to save you, that's socialism. FIND A WAY. |

Quoting: MooHammed 78076526 Packaged food precursors. Not made domestically anymore. Most of the stuff that is packaged causes IR and inflammation anyway. Protein and leafy greens are enough. Selah. There are still food packaging plants in the U.S. How many of them are owned by Chinese companies? I want to know the extent that Chinese companies have in our food supply chain.... They inflict as much domestic damage as possible and then invade Taiwan. The people won't care about Taiwan when they are starving at home. |
