NWBBC leads a coalition of nearly 50 churches from across the state with plans to hold in-person services while implementing strict health and safety protocols later this month.

Nonetheless, should a conflict between duty to God and duty to government arise,NWBBC believes the example of the early Apostles instructs: “We ought to obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5:29 (KJV)). While NWBBC has voluntarily adjusted its mode of services for weeks now out of respect for the guidance of national, state, and local officials and motivated by love for they fellow man, it believes the time has come to resume in person services on May 17, 2020.

Should you decide to take any enforcement action against NWBBC, however, we are prepared to assert any and all defenses available under the U.S. Constitution andapplicable law, including the Illinois Religious Freedom Restoration Act, 775 ILCS §35/1,et seq.

The churches need to lock their doors so the cops have to break them down. It will make a great dramatic video. Maybe the cops will bring out their tank with the door ram attached to the front.
