it is really hard to say what any of us would have done if we were in that same position--as far as being honest that is.

it's very easy to say, "i would have done the right thing, too", but, until you're there, especially, in the difficult financial situation many of us are in, it's a tough call.

i think he deserves a reward for what he did, more than the cheap wooden plaque they gave him.

Not to mention, there are cameras surveilling every inch of bank ATMs. It's not like he could've gotten away with taking the money if he tried.

So at the very least, the kids not stupid.

come off it, who would deposit a foot long stack of cash into am atm? if you got that much cash, well first of all why you got that much cash? and secondly why wouldn't you deposit it properly so you are sure it has been done?

I love how the story is all about the stupid kids morals and not that the fucking bank is supposed to be literally the one place that protects your money but instead they leave it out on the street for immirgrants to find. smfh

Stories like this give me hope for humanity.

Well lets get real. The surveillance cams and facial recognition software destroyed any chance to take the money and go when he pulled up and got out of the truck. He'd been busted in a day or two, he had no choice. I don't know if the kid knew that but i'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Nice job kid. Now he could of called a friend to come down incognito and grab the stash...

Pretty smart i think. Banks have surveilance cameras. Had he taken the money, how long do you think it would be before he got a tap on the shoulder? Also, its stealing! Big fine and jail time too.

ATMs have security cameras that are operating 24/7, just goes to show you how stupid people are and think can get away with it

how many criminals were caught, fleeing past the ATM and later taking their facial pictures with it, you can't imagine lol

if he lived 2 minutes away he could have left the cash on the floor, done his business legitimately, left the scene then changed clothes hood or mask on returned on foot and chucked the cash in a nearby bush and waited for the heat to die down then go back and retrive it. I'd risk a flip flop spanking for 135k. I worked at a petrol filling station when I was 17 and one of the other attendants one night when closing up shop found a garbage sack full of weed, all portioned up into ounces and they called the owner who called the police. I was furious that it wasn't my shift that night for years!!!
