True, but is it that big of a deal to wear a mask in the grocery store for a summer? I Feel like If the people who are scared feel safe we can get back to normal sooner. It’s temporary. As more info comes out it appears the virus isn’t as deadly as the current death rate. It’s understandable that some are afraid because the see the current numbers which do look bad at first glance. Wearing a masks doesn’t seem to hurt anyone and can help make those who are fearful be calm and feel like they’re more in control of if they catch the disease.

If everyone is wearing a cloth mask, the probability of spreading the disease in a grocery store is pretty low. It won't work if you're at home or super close to people for an extended period of time, but I think some people just want to buy food or go to work without anxiety of getting sick or killing their grandpa.

I have quite a few n95s I bought back in January. I have no problem wearing a n95 - it does seem overkill with this virus but Im not really trying to protect myself. I'm not afraid of the virus, but I don't have any issues wearing a mask if that makes others feel like they can buy some food safely.

I don't own a business but if I had one and my employees started getting sketch and quitting on me, or not showing up to work because they felt it was unsafe to go to work I'd protect them by requiring customers/clients to wear a mask. People are upset and saying they wont shop there anymore. I don't know what else a business owner can do right now? Are they supposed to tell their employees that its the handmaids tale? That it strips us of our humanity and individuality? Should they say they have a low IQ? I get and respect the philosophical answers, but not sure how practical they are as solutions.

Costco let you shop for 2 months without one. Up until the magic reopen day where they virtue signal to the public.

Nah, people wear them to protect themselves and others as best they can. Its not 100% foolproof but its better than nothing.
