DCYF is seeking current DCYF employees in King, Snohomish, and Benton counties to volunteer to supervise and support children and youth in Emergency Quarantine Centers. While this is a voluntary effort, you will be compensated four ranges (approximately 20%) above you current base salary while performing these duties, and return to your normal position and salary once concluded.

We are looking for current DCYF Social Service Specialist 3's to care for children who are either COVID-19 positive, or who may have been exposed to COVID-19. There are three locations:

(Where you will go and find no kids)
Cedar Springs Camp, 4820 State Route 92, Lake Stevens, WA 98258
Visitation Center, 4045 Delridge Way SW, Seattle, WA 98106
Bethel Church, 600 Shockley Road, Richland, WA 99352

I dont think this is some kind of evil ploy. If parents get sick - I'm sure they want to be able to protect their kids from covid.

Looks like recruitment has temporarily paused for a few of these jobs

I also think it's probable it's more for kids who don't have anyone to take care of them and whose parents voluntarily ask for help to have that child taken care of while in quarantine.
Not every parent is able to care for their children.

Also, it could be teenagers from foster care, yes foster homes, or runaways.
I mean there are really poor areas where parents will gladly ask someone to watch their kids so they can go to work or what if that parent is asking for help.
Any other scenario would be malevolent.


Maybe they have already seen situations where you have a single mother of 6 kids an they all live in 1 room and she is the one saying she cant watch her child and maybe the whole house gets sick.

Maybe they have already seen a poor family of 6, and husband is a transplant recipient and lets say 15 year old child gets ill and they rather that child elsewhere rather than the dad elsewhere because they have other kids.

I know a couple that both mom and dad are blind. She is a diabetic, liver transplant recipient and they already said if their kids get sick, they will need help for someone to watch and take their child. They have 3 adopted kids..
I know crazy they are blind w 3 kids but they didn't think of a pandemic i'm sure.

We don't know what's happening in very poor areas.
Maybe with schools being closed, and the "reopening" plan, they are trying to look ahead and have this service.

I've been in social services a long, long time, and that's the first time I've seen any type of job like this.

I find it quite disturbing, because at the heart of all social service programs is the belief that the FAMILY is best kept intact unless there are strong extenuating circumstances.

The second thing that bugs me is, it is open only internally to employees already in the CPS system. So they know who will follow rules, no matter how stupid.

Thank god they're too late with this control freak shit.

We're wrapping up this hoax pandemic and reopening soon, bet on it.

There will be no second wave. Once hospitals are no longer incentivised to classify deaths as covid things will go back to normal 100% and suddenly this thing will disappear.
