Retail is done. 30-40% retail goods stores won't re-open. The younger generation of today will be like the 80s pre-internet kids. Only they wont tell stories about a time before the internet, it will be stories about remembering small shops everywhere and strip malls. Those will be the new pay phones. Whats worrisome there's no industry to pick up the slack now or in the near future in terms of jobs. We don't have skilled labor in retail. Then the support jobs, the construction of those jobs. The tax revenue. It all is going down the drain.

Our entire service based economy is a sham of lifestyle and debt. Once it stops rotating, well there's no core that holds it together. Inflation is the only long term glue that keeps it stable. There's nothing like that has ever happened in modern times. I hope we get everything back moving.

We used to pay $5 for a whole frigging date night evening! Since when do babysitters make as much or more an hour than the person hiring them??? Babysitting is supposed to be charged by the day, like $25 for the whole work day! You make your money babysitting by watching 4 kids a day and that's how you make your $100 a day. Not by watching 1 kid!

Partly true. But just as places like the city of San Francisco or state of Illinois were becoming more and more leftwing sleazy well before the arrival of SARS-CoV-2, the mindless liberalism of such places in a Covid-19 world is making things worse.

What do you do that’s so challenging? I used to babysit back in the day ahd I think most are underpaid for watching children. At least the young ones. They are a lot of work. I’m sick of assholes who make $30-40 an hr in easy jobs making these declarations. No person is going to watch your crotch fruit for $5 fucking dollars. This isn’t 1970. I have teenagers and I would expect them to charge at LEAST $10 an hr to babysit if the opportunity came up. As far as $500 a day for that other stuff. Now THAT is crazy. A hard honest days work for any general laborers should net maybe $200 but not $500. Get real. Maybe $300. I would happily pay someone $300 to work 8 hours for me doing various tasks. Here’s the thing - you’re not entitled to special services including babysitting, it’s not a right - it’s a privelage. There’s a lot of demand for it so you’re just going to have to suck it up.
