Any effective treatment for viral diseases is best initiated as soon as possible.

Any delay decreases effectiveness of ANY treatment since the symptoms are the result of target tissue cellular death, and there is no way to reverse the process once the target cells are infected and destroyed in the process of infection and viral replication.

The so called ineffective demonstrated studies literally wait until the patient is end stage and the damage is pretty much done.
