“The first gulp from the glass of natural sciences will turn you into an atheist, but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting for you.”
Werner Heisenberg

OP, I like YOUR sig, too.

Ha, I'm trying to read your site but want to talk to you, as well. Your sig reminds me of a video that I watched a few years ago. It was a physicist who had been an atheist but science proved to his that there is a God. I remember he spoke about a geological formation called the pre-Cambrian (sp) layer that contains fossils of tiny life that emerged millions of billions of years ago. The layers showed when that life appeared, they all had EYES. There was no evolution from creatures without eyes. Just suddenly, all of these creatures with eyes, out of nowhere.

Just take your time. I will be around here for a while. Concerning your former atheist physicist - I heard about his story but I also can't remember the name, but just recently I read a book which gave some great examples that evolution always comes in peaks - like a divine spark or a new cycle of updates implemented in the Matrix. The old paradigm of a steady evolution seems outdated to me. I just need to look into my own life - my personal evolution is also a jumpy process. Years of sleepy languish followed by hefty transformational labor pains.

OMG, I can so relate. It's epiphanies that lead to quantum leaps, usually involving a lot of pain (in my case, anyway).

The great Saints and sat Gurus teach that "man making" comes before spiritual progress. One cannot spiritually advance without simply becoming a better person (which sounds a lot easier than it is, lol).

Yes, it's a process and takes time. If you won't listen to subtle advice or you won't learn from others' mistakes by simply observing then the universe sends you a "little" personal crisis to get your ass moving towards your next better version of yourself. I studied those metaphysical mechanisms with fluctuating success.
