Yes, it's a process and takes time. If you won't listen to subtle advice or you won't learn from others' mistakes by simply observing then the universe sends you a "little" personal crisis to get your ass moving towards your next better version of yourself. I studied those metaphysical mechanisms with fluctuating success.
Quoting: MAYAMAGIK One word comes to mind about all that: Humility. And that's funny because I just ran across a short video of Jordan Peterson talking about that subject. I won't embed so as not to derail but will leave the link for you: [ link to www.youtube.com (secure)] Quoting: thinking... I would not agree with JP in some points but some of his analyses concerning Jung's philosophy/psychology are spot on. Just a curious question. Could it be that you are located somewhere around LA? Quoting: MAYAMAGIK I live in Michigan but spent seven years in LA a long time ago. It was hell in many ways but I did some of the most important things of my life in that I rescued lots of dogs and brought one back to Michigan with me. I believe that was the biggest reason I was led there (and to learn some about narcissists, one of whom I went there to be with). Quoting: thinking... Oh ya, that narcissist experience is very important. I guess it's mostly about self-love, self-respect, and being able to draw a line in the sand. It's a very important lesson for personal development. Those narcissists are great teachers and I needed a few, too.
