Some years, or periods, seem like hotspots throghout the timeline. That can be perceived reading the variations of these threads at GLP. At times they slow down, then suddendly they resurface strongly, pushing certain scenarios and/or narratives, attracting more people with different intentions and mindsets.

I can see how your first sentence makes sense, but the beginning stage of the meme being with The Davinci Code movie? I don't see this conclusion even remotely attached to reality. Even at GLP before that the meme thrived with different denominations.

No I don't. 2014 must have been the year I less visited GLP, that year was divided in two halves for me and at each I had my focus just too strongly directed at work.

This thread has been one of the better ones (about the subject) and it has much to do with OP and his moderation policies.

There are countless threads that do not support your statement of letting it flow freely to reach the full potential. Most of the threads related to this topic become playgrounds for adults playing children, are derailed (to hide the truthful bits) or end up being hijacked. By who? Many of us know already, so I won't go to that.
