China's military does not have the logistical capacity to mount an invasion of Australia.

Even if they did, the supply lines would be long and subject to repeated interdiction by the US Navy and other allied navies.

China's navy is not yet fully blue-water capable and not yet large enough to defend any supply lines.

They can try to invade, but they won't get far.

No, this will not happen until they have secured the strategic First Island Chain (South and East China Seas) for their push into the Pacific. In order to do this, they need to conquer Taiwan first.
