Lightning bugs blinking into view on a humid evening, clouds overcast, almost looks like stars blinking into existence near the ground. |

My now deceased older friends and family members had large vegetable gardens, and as a child I loved being in them and picking the fresh vegetables. My elderly neighbor would make us fresh soup out of whatever we picked and we'd visit for the day while she made it. The taste and smell of the soup was lovely. |

Riding out to feed the cows at dusk on my friend’s ranch...something about how everything smelled, being close to the earth, surrounded by oak trees and grass...I don’t remember ever feeling that way before or since...calm and primal at the same time. The way my little baby’s fingers used to curl around mine when they were very small. My child’s faces when they’re totally absorbed in doing something that lights them up inside. The pleasurable feeling of kneading bread dough by hand... Hearing a song that touches my soul for the first time... People should do this exercise daily. I already feel gratitude welling up for all the beautiful things that have touched my life. Blessings to you OP. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77574359 Your comment about vegetable gardens triggered a sweet memory for me, of picking snap peas fresh off the vine, stuffing my face with them- better than candy, cool and refreshing. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78943740 United States 05/23/2020 07:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I’m not queer... I’m a woman. Women are so brainwashed now about being overweight. But I can still remember this lady who was a friend of my parents when I was a kid. She was not obese, but definitely not rhin. Everyone considered her to be really hot. I remember she had a bikini swimsuit and love handles on her hips bulging out and people thought it was very attractive. That was because it actually was. When the Sodomites reappeared they set about shaming women over our body shapes, and reprogramming what people thought was beautiful. They did this of course so that THEY coukd be at the top of the “beauty” pyramid. They also firmly controlled women’s fashion for eons. The truth is that cisgender womens’ bodies are absolutely lovely... |

I asked if it was hers, and she smiled. I asked if she would play for us. She took it out and played the song my Grandmother chose that was played at her funeral. Tears and Chills. |

That's why it stands out. ;-) Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world. -- Abraham Lincoln The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion. -- Albert Camus |
