If you do follow Jesus he leads you by the promised holy spirit of truth revelations that he gave to the apostles , that we unlike israel when Jesus was teaching them about how to live under law , are not.
the church in general does not emphasise the main thing that sets us free Jesus accomplished on the cross, is we are set free from the law and that is why we are set free from sin as Jesus Promised those eho believe in the son would be. For sin is trangression of law and where there is no law there is no trangression of law possible.

Paul who was not married wished everyone was like him
And when he was weak he was strong

Paul used the marriage law of moses to teach an illustration of how We are set free from all the law of moses
Israel now Married to another , Jesus risen in glory.

If we say we have sinned
What basis do we judge that?
We cannot sin by trangressing the law of moses an longer

So we sin when we are in doubt

There's more ancient manuscript evidence for Jesus than ANY other ancient person.

1. Starting after Jesus' death, the Pharisees did everything possible to derail the growth of Christianity.

2. Manuscripts, at the least, have lasted through...

-the Roman destruction of Israel & other wars in the Middle East of the 1st / 2nd Century
-the 200+ years of Roman persecution of Christians and Hebrews that began with Nero
-the "trinitarian" changes made to the Bible beginning around Tertullian's time
-the invasions / expansion of Islam that began after Muhammad's death in 632 AD

You expect that Jesus miracles to be recorded in a pile of ancient tabloid journals somewhere?

Even the Christ-hating Pharisees mention Jesus in the Talmud.

Even IF we didn't have manuscript fragments dating back to the 2nd century, scholars could "piece together" the 4 Gospels just from the writings of various church fathers.

C...Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

3. Revelation it's referred to as "the everlasting Gospel".
ONE Gospel - not plural gospels.

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

4 Jesus main mission was to Israel, but yet He didn't refuse Gentiles. SAME Gospel to the Gentiles as to the Hebrews.

He specifically says that Jesus' teachings belong in the "Old Testament".

He says gentiles are to follow Paul.

A warning is given that there is a terrible judgment for those who do not love the Truth.
God will send upon them a strong delusion so that they would believe a lie.

This is what has happened.

What pastors and church leadership should have been acting like

Once they are fully open

Why would anyone argue aboaut this? Of course the ascended Jesus'ministry is different, and he explained why. His first choice of party guests didn't come, so he "compelled" his servants to go into the streets and gather all those that would come to the party. So the ministry of Jesus became to recruit street people to the kingdom of God.

A lot (most) Christian themed threads on GLP are like the factions that Gulliver found in Lilliput. ie, the big endians vs the little endians. And that is why I stay off most religious threads. It is impossible in life to straighten out every idiot that you find on the internet. And pointless to do so.

1. Repent

Matthew 4:17 (KJV) From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Mark 1:15 And saying*, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe* the gospel.

Paul - Repentence? Check

Acts 26:20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.


2. Believe

John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Paul - Belief that Jesus is the Son of God? Check

Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

1 Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.


3. Obey / Keep the Commandments

Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Paul - Commandments? Check

1 Thessalonians 4:2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 4:9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.


4. Do the Father's Will

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Paul - Doing the Father's Will? Check

Ephesians 6:6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;


5. Forgive others so the Father will forgive you.

Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Paul - Forgiveness

2 Corinthians 2:7 So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.


6. Be "born again".

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Paul doesn't use the exact phrase- but he clearly understands what happens.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Peter.

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
