Sharing guns with others
An issue I’ve been thinking about lately is the element of trust.

There are some relatives who shouldn’t be trusted during the apocalypse. And definitely not strangers. Because if their personality is not good, they will make your life hell. I own six guns with six thousand rounds of ammo. The rest of my family owns only one pistol. When things get bad, they will need a gun to protect their families. But if I give one to them, there’s no guarantee they won’t use it against me before taking whatever they need. Even after you live with a community for a while you still cannot predict what’s going through their minds. The ones without guns will envy the ones who have them. They will most likely conjure plans to seize them from their original owners. For example, if you need another man to stand watch overnight, what’s to stop him from robbing you while you’re asleep? Even your own cousin is capable of doing this. Especially if he has his own wife and kids to protect. They will think, I need a gun too...why should i borrow yours when I can just take it from you?

See, now that’s going to be a problem. Best scenario would be to group up with ppl who have their own guns or whom you can truly trust your life with.

I believe Burt Gummer said it best, choose your home based on geographic isolation. Then never let your family know where you live.
My Family lives in eastern canada. It is hilarious how many of them figured out this spring that they could not actually just go buy a gun.
There is no such thing as a gun show loophole.
And now under their prime ministress they cannot even buy a gun after they have passed the firearms licensing course.
Millions of Canadians suddenly this spring decided to take up the shooting sports.
So many that were teachers, or artists, and they all got scared and wanted to be able to protect themselves with GUNS.
From a darn virus?????
I know that they do not want to admit it to me because they do not want to admit that they are certain that cultural sensitivity will not prevent them from getting robbed raped and eaten by their neighbors.
I am not going to help arm any of them.
If they even try to help themselves and come out west I am most definitely NOT going to give them a firearm and trust them to not accidentally shoot me, the dog or an innocent.
They can have a rape whistle, and wake me up.

Exactly! I want to help other ppl too, but on second thought considering how selfish they are these days, it’s very hard to trust them. Especially with a deadly weapon. A rape whistle is a good idea lol.

I have 4 cops in the family, 3 of them good, care about the constitution.

1 of them, you wouldnt want to be in the same room with him if he were carrying a gun.
Evil controls the ignorant... Climate change is a hoax so is the vax you have been fear-porned into compliance!

Definition Satan from the bible: Satan (Rev 12:7) exercising his subtle (indirect) impact on heathen governments (powers) – i.e. accomplishing his hellish agenda from "behind the scenes."

You’re very lucky! I have no cops in the family. Just a bunch of news watching mainstream science worshippers.

Nice post. 5 stars.
This has been on my mind as well.
Currently I would arm only two family members, both female.

take the firing pin out if you want to see how they handle it before fully committing. if they try to use it on you, joke is on them.

Never share a firearm with anyone but trusted, trained immediate family. Not only will most people hurt themselves, they can damage others and when the lawsuits fly, they'll figure out it was your gun and you just got to pay for everything!

maybe so, but it's an idea. id rather lose a gun than force the issue and take the chance of them storming me when im asleep or recruiting others to their cause.

most decisions in this scenario we envision will be in a gray area. that's part of why they let criminals out of jail and made up more arbitrary rules and policies for the slaves - to blur the lines, to make the rule of law selective.

pulling a firing pin and giving someone i dont trust a dud gun to see how they handle it is definitely something id consider if i thought it was a better option than just refusing them anything and keeping one eye open all the time.

Good point, there is bound to be a grey area when you are forced to trust somebody you don’t know that well yet. Like fending off a group of raiders together and then waking up the next morning with their gun in your face. Lol.
