Non-resident tax impact of COVID19 for those who still have jobs...
Something to think about...

You live bordering another state and work across the state line normally exposing yourself to non-resident income taxes. So if you are now working at home "remotely" why the non-resident exposure since your employers now has "nexus" in your home state by virtue of you working as an employee at home?

Another wrinkle is the whole employee vs independent contractor... if you are working at home on your home computer using your home internet in a "home office" are you still an employee or an independent contractor? Part of the test is carrying your own insurance (health, liability, etc.) and having your own retirement plan (vs. participating in your "employers" plan) those items may be a pretty high hurdle to clear but again, it is something to think about for select individuals...
