That’s a big drop and it’s especially odd considering the Dow Jones Industrial Average is up nearly 700 points over the past week.

We’ve also seen most states ease social distancing restrictions, with restaurants and non-essential businesses reopening across the country. Scientists continue to insist we’re still in the early stages in the fight against coronavirus with U.S. deaths already exceeding 100,000. But from a pure optics standpoint, it shouldn’t have been hard for Trump to paint a positive picture.

Instead we got Trump celebrating Americans losing their jobs, more “Obamagate,” more Joe Scarborough, more false election claims and a deluge of other nonsensical tweets.

Biden’s campaign isn’t exactly setting the world on fire these days, but the numbers are trending very positive for November.

The former Vice President’s odds improved to +125 to win the 2020 general election and he’s -835 to win the Democratic nomination. He’s also a significant favorite in several key swing states, some of which like Arizona haven’t gone blue in more than 20 years.
