Do we live in a society though? If we school our own kids and grow our own food and live off grid and do not partake in conspicuous consumption..is that enough atonement? Are we only responsible for ourselves..or for others as well, especially vulnerable others such as elders and children and disabled people? What if you were even partly responsible for the creation of the internet and did all those other things? Then would your use of it be justified? Asking for a friend lol

could live good for 6 months on a mere 20k in Hawaii. I checked it out some years back.. but I moved here instead. To complicated with my kitties or else I could just got to SF wharf and catch a lift over.

My conclusion was if I saved 20k and went to Hawaii, I could live very awesome for six months and either be able to stay with an income or have to come back, but I seriously need a vacation .. one vacation in a life time is worth 20k and for six months? But, I could still save 20 k and do it. I really was thinking about it back in 2014.. still need a vacation never had one in my whole life to speak of?
