Quoting: Captain KC Jones The test vehicle had just completed its fifth static fire test. On Thursday, SpaceX received FAA clearance to conduct a 150 m hop with the vehicle. Those plans are, obviously, now up in the air. At 1:49 p.m. EDT, SpaceX's Starship prototype vehicle, SN4, exploded in a ball of flames on the company's testing facility in Boca Chica, Texas. The test vehicle, a prototype for Elon Musk's moon- and Mars-bound spacecraft, had just conducted its fifth static fire test two minutes earlier. This is engineering not theoretical science or philosophy. It’s real! Scientists drive the engineers crazy with profound statements like, “it worked in the model?” Scientists can’t even tie their own shoes or get dressed in the morning. A great leap forward has been made. Designing a new rocket is not like writing an 'app'. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] Sometimes they blow up. Then you work out the kinks and try again. And then they blow up. The last one reminds me of my attempts at Kerbal Space Program. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77074821 Portugal 05/29/2020 10:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | SpaceX is a Pentagon operation hiding as a private company and it's main objective is to assure the NWO control of space in a militarized sense. Musk's Star Trekkianism "TO THE STARS!" utopian nonsense is essentially a camouflage with the added bonus that it is a subversive idea itself (Star Trek was a monstrous and highly effective indoctrination tool, Roddenberry was a monster) The way they do this is by severely diminishing engineering margins and by bypassing red tape and bureaucracy similar to what Lockheed "Skunk Works" division used to do. Starlink is a monstrous creation that will serve as the communication backbone for the high tech surveillance system and the violence-applying system (killer police drones WILL be used on our societies not just surveillance drones), this systems will need huge amounts of low-latency bandwith. Needless to say that NATO will also make use of it and i also wouldn't be surprised if Starlink will one day serve as a gigantic multi-static radar screen aimed at minimizing Russian and Chinese nuclear potential, at this time the ONLY true obstacles to the NWO. |

Eggcellently Deplorable Re-Instate Smith-Mundt! User ID: 1865245 United States 05/29/2020 11:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The first try? LOL! You obviously have no concept of how many people were injured or killed during the months and years leading up to that "first try"! There were explosions, fires, crashes, there was even a time when a space module caught on fire and killed the two astronauts inside. First, they had to decide between liquid and solid propellant. Then they had to create and develop the solid propellant, with each change in the "recipe" being tested hundreds of times. This process (developing and testing) was repeated for every square inch of the rocket, inside and out. Hundreds of thousands of people across America spent YEARS working on this project, which is why I just smile politely when some self-righteous morally superior doofus comes along saying that "We never went to the moon, it was all a big hoax". "I have come to the conclusion that all news should be treated like 9/11, assume it is a psyop with actors participating in a staged event complete with props, until proven otherwise, in which case assume whatever is being recorded, reported, televised, is distortions/lying by omission/outright lies, until proven otherwise." - Anonymous, 4-13-12 |
