Re: ADVICE FOR POTENTIAL TRADESCHOOL STUDENT...IS IT WORTH IT?
19,027$ to study and become a HVAC technician. Its a trade school. School is 9 months 4 hrs Monday thru Thursday. Its pathetic I am even asking on GLP but no one close to me has finished school and really need the advice/help from people that might be in the field or know someone. I qualify for a good amount of financial aid. I would be paying 3000 out of my pocket after grad. According to there numbers they have a 67% grad rate and 33 students last year enrolled in my program out of those 33, 26 went on to get entry level jobs with the help of the school...Is it worth it? Dont wanna waste money and graduate only to not find a job.

How to get an A+ in every class

- Sit in the front row.

- Be 1 day ahead of the class (this requires double the homework (reading) on the first day...(first day only)...

After that, you just stay 1 day ahead by doing the daily homework (reading). (On the first day they give you a "syllabus"...just follow that but stay a day ahead).

(it's a technique...a strategy...it works).

Also...hand in homework that looks professional! Not crumpled up or has mustard stains on it.

I learned these "techniques" and they have served me well!

My advice would be to get into the controls trade.
If you are smarter then the average bear dont get stuck with Carpentry/Electrical or a labour trade, get into a trade where you will be sought after.

There is a little known trade called BAS Technician and they are really a force to reckon with after they are tenured.
North America doesnt have more then 50,000 technicians and trust me we are in the age of moving to DDC, direct digital control from the old Pnematics era, and the BAS trade isnt even 50% staffed. You are guaranteed high paid work for the rest of your life and its not hard on your body.

Controls...Controls...Controls...

Instrumentation is a hybrid trade of Hvac and electrical and is also very interesting.
