You probably just don't know each other any more, because it gets hard to reveal your own internal change (which happens slowly and subtly) to your loved ones as life piles on.

The change that she or you may have, unless regularly sharing (hard, when life distracts... daughters, families, jobs, desires, etc, because it takes energy that we often don't have) can cause unnoticed divergence, until sometimes you can end up on entirely different paths, even while living right next to each other.

Take a couple hours to actively share where each of you is at in life. Take a small amount of time to discovery who she is as a person, share who you are as a person... explore the state and future of your relationship, even if that relationship ends up being apart.

If it's bad... expect yelling... lol... but work through it.

Better to talk, for both of your happiness, and your daughter.
