That is certainly the most legal way to handle a mob. Some jurisdictions will still prosecute you if you shoot a home invader, but for the most part, as long as you're in your own home, you'll be fine.

The problem with that strategy, while it is the easiest way to ensure you won't be prosecuted, is it means entire neighborhoods will have to be defended on a house by house basis. A neighborhood is much more defensible if the neighbors are able to present a unified front. A gang of looters, for instance, will be far more deterred by a hundred armed neighbors at the entrance than they will be by a totally undefended entrance and every resident inside his home alone. How would a neighborhood even coordinate such a defense? What if a mob of 50 smartly decides to take the neighborhood one house at a time? A hundred neighbors could end that thread easily, but 50 individual households face a gang of 50 rioters separately and the whole neighborhood burns one home at a time.

Speak your mind diplomatically. I am single and female as well and it is what I do. I have facts to back me up and any of their arguments can be quickly shot down except by those who do not wish to let you speak and will drown you out with their rhetoric so no one hears you. Tell them to research themselves. The facts are out there.

I like playing the vid where all the news media from different stations and all over the country say everything in concert verbatim. That really startles people. If you do, just be sure you don't use a vid where it says all stations owned by Sinclair, as they will argue then with that. It's a slight deception, but I don't mind it as it starts people thinking that they are being played and some will do some research.

Thanks. Afraid that if I say something I will be targeted and marked for future attack on my home at 2:30 am. I was thinking they are out mapping people and addresses for retaliation. So at the time felt like telling them oh I'd love to help but can't vs FU get off my property now would help to diffuse the situation? Not sure.
