Lost my last bit of close liberal friends during the RIOTS and Corona HOAX

This shit's been polarizing people like crazy.

I was out for the second time with a female that I'd met a few days back, and things were going great until the protests became a part of the conversation.

I expressed my views about the rioters, at which point she informed me that she was 'very liberal' and supported the rioters, at which point the date was over... for both of us.

I'm sorry for your loss, OP... but it is for the better. You deserve decent friends-- people who are loyal, intelligent and can debate an issue without having a childish hissy fit.

Try to join a conservative club and meet new people.

People today are being brainwashed en masse.-- it may be Facebook or just social pressure.

As a christian, I also believe there is an evil anti-christ spirit that is taking over the minds of many people-- they are literally being demonized as we speak..

I was about the only Libertarian/Republican in a group of of about 8 to 10 friends that went out every Saturday night for dinner and also for drinks during the week.

During the Obama years, we talked politics and current events with never an issue or argument.

During the 2016 debates between Hillary and Donald Trump, we each hosted a debate party had lots of fun eating, drinking and laughing.

The night of the election, I decided to have a separate party alone (invited some of the guys who worked on my house instead as a celebration for finishing a project). I did not want to be around my friends celebrating, thinking Donald Trump would truly win. That would have been a buzz kill to see them crying, which actually happened, so I have good instincts.

After Donald Trump won, two months later, one of the friends snapped at me in front of everyone, calling me a dumb educated bum fuck for voting for Donald Trump. Keep in mind, he was a college professor, so of course he thinks he is so much smarter and wiser. He makes about 1/4th of what I make annually, up to his ass in debt (not college debt, but Amazon purchase debt) and yet I have more degrees and certifications, owe nothing, but I digress.

After that, the group fell apart, it was just me and 2 others (that tolerated the political discussions, somewhat in the same way in the past).

Well, that all ended this week. We were supposed to take one of the friends to dinner for his birthday and he basically said, it's supposed to rain, so let's just cancel. No need to rebook, let's just wait til next year.

The other one got mad when I sent her the pic of the cop punching the Antifa guy in the face when he touched the cops rifle. She was up set that I called guy Antifa (dressed in a black hoodie).

Well, That's it for me. I cannot go out with friends that have seemingly different values now and whereby I have to be careful in what I bring up in conversation.

Keep in mind, I was always the conservative voice in the group and had a high tolerance for others and also respect. But obviously, the liberals are not so tolerant. I suppose they were only tolerant at that time since they were in power.

The funny thing too is, there is no remorse. I don't need to be around people who share all of my views. That is boring. I just need friends who actually tolerate people with different views.

The other funny thing, they are all big time Facebook types, all Corona believers and all iphone users (Apple). I am the only Droid user, no social media (except for this non-narcissistic site) and called it hoax from the very beginning. I find this all very interesting as well.

Anyone else lose a batch of friends this past Hoax season?

Unfortunately brother there is also a brainwashing spirit going on in the Christian community also. I remember losing some Christian friends over 9/11 because I claimed that our righteous President and government were behind 9/11.

Agreed. That is why it really isn't upsetting. What was upsetting was biting my tongue more and more over the past couple of years. I am just floored at the hatred of Donald Trump. Trust me, I love political humor and don't get upset about any Orange jokes or anything like that, but the anger they spew when talking about him.

Toward the end, when discussing the Democratic candidates during the primary, no matter who you discussed on their side, it always came back to Donald Trump. I would have to stop them and say, "hold on, at this moment we are discussing Joe Biden, let's stay on topic".

CNN and MSNBC feed them hate and lies...propaganda. I tried to get my liberal friend to watch FOX just one time! Just once!

NOPE! Oh well. I call people like that stupid. Not opened minded. No common sense. He votes Democrat. His wife votes Republican. They try not to discuss politics because they are so happy together. Great relationship.
