I was running on Empire Grade as two Sheriffs sped up towards Ben Lomond today around the time this took place. Never seen them so fast and frantic up there, I knew it was serious, had no idea how bad. I felt like following, glad i did not, hope it wasn't the guys I saw who got hit.

Beautiful day turned into a hell for true law enforcement today, is this what they want, no one to go on calls like this, how the hell would a lay person deal with bombs and Ak47s on a hot summer day?

This is a really small mountain town hidden in the Redwoods, red necks and hippies primarily, these guys weren't from around the area for sure.

I will just add, besides the fires started two days ago by some deranged Antifa hacks in a heat wave, they got caught, we had a damn shooter at the farmers market on Wednesday in Santa Cruz, the damn farmers market.

This is a surf town, not south central, wth has happened to the world...
