I think most people would actually be safer if they were gone completely. I know that sounds counter intuitive, but theink about it, does it really do you any good to report your won murder?

The police cannot and do not deter or stop crime, in fact their increased presence will always increase crime.

WHen they dont patrol an area the crime rate plunges for three reasons I believe, the vast majority of criminal complaints are lodged by cops against people who would never have drawn the ire of the people themselves, cops are often involved in organized criminal activity, and cops themselves are often involved in violent and aggressive crimes.
