I haven't watched television in years and years, but seeing TVs at restaurants and stuff occasionally it is very plain to see black people are significantly over-represented and whites are under-represented.

But 60%? That's insane if that's accurate. Could you point me toward your source? That statistic would be something to keep in the back pocket to counter bullshit systemic discrimination and under-representation claims, but I would like to verify so I'm not talking out of my ass. =)

60% might even be low. Look at the print and internet ads as well. If you didnt live in the US, you would think that the country is majority black by looking at the advertising.

It's the same in Europe.
The local supermarket last week had an ad with an entire 'black' family dressed like Euros, in a typical Euro room full of Euro things.

It is so bad that State Farm's big superbowl commercial was an exact copy of one they ran many years ago except one difference. They replaced the State Farm rep (Jake) on the phone with a black guy.
