Don't waste your time. The response will always be along the lines that "the white people were oppressive so we had to live in bad neighborhoods and our actions and behavior are a direct result of that."

The normal person's response would be along the lines that in Africa, the different races/tribes routinely try to commit genocide against each other, i.e. black-on-black violence, and it has nothing to do with them being oppressed here. White races occasionally do that as well but in recent times it's been mostly due to religion, not race.

But your explanations will fall on deaf ears, so at some point it's time to give up on negotiations and get on with it, whatever that means.

Whenever someone tries to explain something to me (instead of bash my head in), I'll listen, but if I have a counterpoint and they won't listen, that makes it no longer a discussion.

Not worried about anyone's excuses for their behavior or even past history. Currently they are by comparison the source of the racists, the violent ones, and the oppressors. They deserve to hear this often. The statistics are like a vaccination to whites. In the arena of the politics of guilt and pity, if whites do not feel either and also know the facts are different than the current myth, they will think, act, and vote accordingly.

What happens when you take some red ants from their ant hill and drop them off at an ant hill of big black army ants?
