Atlanta police just walked off the job in zone 6, 7, and 3....they are turning in their keys and quitting their jobs. [ link to twitter.com (secure)] Twitter... Atlanta Police Department @Atlanta_Police Earlier suggestions that multiple officers from each zone had walked off the job were inaccurate. The department is experiencing a higher than usual number of call outs with the incoming shift. We have enough resources to maintain operations & remain able to respond to incidents. 8,542 5:43 PM - Jun 17, 2020 APD and the AJC, along with all the other Atlanta media are in full spin doctor mode...trying to not admit there is a huge crisis 700 calls backed up.
